Altus Hospice Foundation: Helping Atlanta’s Seniors beat the summer heat!

It can be difficult keeping cool in these soaring temperatures. That’s why the Altus Hospice Foundation has been busy distributing box fans to senior citizens, those in critical care, the disabled and those on a limited income. Not everyone has the best circulation in their homes.



The 2010 Bowl-A-Thon Fundraiser was right up our alley!

The Altus Hospice Foundation bowling fundraiser was a Strike! Nearly 80 people spared a little time for fun Saturday, June 19th at the Brunswick Zone on Spalding Drive in Norcross. The foundation would like to thank everyone who came to the event and donated to the Granting Wishes, Healing Hearts program.



National Nurses Week 2010: Celebrating All of Altus’ Angels

National Nurses Week is celebrated annually from May 6, also known as National Nurses Day, through May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. Often described as an art and a science, nursing is a profession that embraces dedicated people with varied interests, strengths and passions.

Altus’ Fall Memorial: A service of Remembrance

fall-memorial-vaseThe Altus Fall Memorial Service was a chance for many to reflect on the meaning of life. The ceremony was held Sunday, November 1 at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. Each family member was given a rose in memory of their loved one who has passed away in the last six months.

Altus believes in the dignity and worth of every person at every stage of life and our goal is to educate the public about the hospice services provided to Georgia families.
